My husband has been doing EVERYTHING to persuade me into naming our baby Ender Rilen Kirby. I do not want Ender. I want Asher!!! I can't believe the lengths he is going to. It's a new wallpaper on the computer everyday begging for Ender and a photo of himself pleading and praying, it's my daughter's photo pleading, it's false impersonations on MY BLOG!!! I can't believe he posted as if he were me! What should I do to "punish" him??? This just may be an all out war!! LOL

Yes, my husband is loving, wonderful, and handsome....would I say "Hubba, hubba"? Probably not. Not because he isn't but because that's not my lingo. Moving on!
If the name "doesn't matter much to me" then how can this sentence make sense?

Yes, my husband does many wonderful things for me but PULEASE!!! The baby couldn't have been conceived without me either buddy! AND I am the one suffering for 10 months (40 weeks) with this kid and this baby is as much a part of ME as it is him.
So.... Feel free to comment on what crazy husband I have and what sort of tortures I can deliver until the baby is born and named ASHER!!!

Why don't you just name him Andrew and then Valenti....I mean - Hannah can just call her Ender.

I was surprised when I read the last post though. I thought Maizer was as Ender-ish as you were willing to go. Although it could be worse. He could have wanted Miro, Quim or Olhado. (There was a Hyrum in the first book is Josh gets desperate.) LOL

Josh you have been a naughty boy! LOL! I'm afraid I'm not on your side for this one! :-) Although I must thank you for all the laughs you've provided me over the last several days with your pathetic pleas for the name Ender. Don't you think that Chloe should get a choice this time? She agreed to Maizer and in addition you do get to give your kids your last name? hahahaha Just an idea. Love you guys! And I know you guys will come up with the right name! can't wait to meet that sweet little boy!

I fell for it! But I do like Ender... it is a strong sounding name and VERY original.
With that being said, I like the name Asher too!

If it's going to be a problem and you two end up waging battle over it, why not start looking for other names? Look at what you like about Ender and Asher and see if another name fulfills it (THEY ARE SO SIMILAR, YOU GUYS ARE THIS CLOSE TO COMING TO A COMPROMISE). They both end in er, they both have two syllables, they both start with a vowel, they both have 5 letters, they both remind one a little of fire (embers, ash)--I'm sure you can find a very similar name that will really sound great. But I'm also not implying that you embrace something that sounds like you are trying too hard and were having fun with Scrabble.
Lol. I'm glad my husband I didn't have this much trouble coming up with a name. But if we have another girl we'll have trouble thinking of another girl name we both like
I think both names are bad. I think Ender is just asking to made fun of.
Who is this Kristina person??? No love? No support? if you think the names are bad - how about a legit suggestion? LOL Not that I would take it because it is what I love that matters. But to each his own.
Hmmm Ender, what does it mean? Asher, yes I know so many people are naming their kid Asher right now. Honestly I am so sick of hearing Asher and it makes me start singing that Christmas song over and over in my head. It's just one of those names that everyone is naming their kid. Blah.. So I personally would ditch Asher and go with something more original. Now at first glance when I saw Ender I was like huh? what? I have NEVER heard that before. It does sounds strong, but what the heck does it mean? Giving me some meaning behind it and I think it is a great name. Have you guys thought of anything else?

My friend Autumn wants a name meaning for Ender....I don't know. It is from the book Ender's Game. Many people recognize it if they are familiar with the book series. We haven't entertained anything else. Asher was in our baby name journal from before we even started having kids and I have yet to meet an Asher although I think it is becoming popular as well. Hannah is very popular! Maizer not at all. But it fits him. And that's what I want. A connection with baby and name! :)
